We love babies, don’t we? Of course, they are adorable. More than their cute and innocent faces, their acts make us fall in love with them.

This article is for parents who want to know interesting things about their kids. Because it makes you smarter and a better parent. Moreover, it gives you more reasons to love your kids. I know what happened with your heart when you saw them sleeping with you for the first time and felt them against you. Such a heavenly feeling.

Well, here is the list of seven fun facts about your little cute munchkins. Enjoy as you read them.

  1. THEY HAVE NO CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS WHEN BORN

Have you ever wakened up due to the cries of your kids somewhere at midnight? Don’t worry, it is a deal of a few initial days or a maximum of three to five months.

It sounds like biological clocks are innate and the child knows when to sleep and when to wake up. No! The reality is different. The biological clocks in kids develop with time. It takes weeks or months to recognize day and night and then to develop sleep patterns. So, it is a deal of taming them according to the requirements of the environment.

  1. THEY HAVE MORE BONES THAN ADULTS

Well, your soft and lovely moppets have more bones than you, an adult does. And guess what, the difference is not small.

They have three hundred bones as compared to an adult body that has two hundred and six. Don’t freak out. Actually, the science behind it is they have many soft bones that are fused to become hard bones as they grow up. This is why some people shape their skull bones during the early days of their birth.

  1. THEY HAVE MORE TASTE BUDS THAN AN ADULT DOES

Have you ever noticed your kid making adorably bizarre faces after tasting lemon or some spice? I know you wanted to eat your kids with love after that. But don’t!

Well, the kids have three times more taste buds than an adult has. They are all over the surface of the mouth and are particularly sensitive to salty, sour, and spicy tastes. That is why they eat ice cream and other sweet things more comfortably.

  1. THEY CRY ACCORDING TO SPEECH PATTERNS OF DIFFERENT AREAS

Who knew that the kids’ cries were according to a particular rhythm or an accent? Well, the research shows it is a reality. The children of France, UAE, and India would cry with the accent of the language of that particular area.

The rising tones and then dropping them does not happen without any influence of the language. However, we might not be able to distinguish them but the experts have proven their difference from each other and similarity to the cultural accent.

  1. BABIES DON’T PRODUCE TEARS

You must have observed your kids crying vehemently and not producing tears. There is nothing to worry about. It is just that the tear gland is producing water that can only lubricate their eyes. As they grow older, there are more tears.

So, by the time they will start producing tears rolling down their cheeks when they are crying. Till then, try to calm the loud cries without wiping their cheeks.

  1. THE YOUNGER YOUR KIDS, THE LESS FEARFUL THEY ARE

One of the first few things that come to our minds after hearing the word ‘child’ is timid and weak. Because we think, they become brave and strong as they grow older. Right?

Do you know that the things that make you freak out with fear will be very normal for your kids? Yes, it is so. The reason is fear in itself is a learned behavior. They learn to be afraid of the lion, ghosts, and other things, so they are fearful when they grow up.

  1. SCREENS IMAGES CAN BE USED TO EXPOSE THEM TO REALITY

Phones or tablets can be used for the learning of kids and to expose them to different things that are not feasible to show otherwise. Because they take these things as real and learn from them. But excessive screen time is harmful and can make kids dependent on it in later life too. So, use it with extreme care.
